LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your festival and yummy syrup! We have been attending for the past 6 years and always look forward to it every spring regardless of the weather. My oldest son is 14 and still has the wooden sword we purchased 6 years ago,my 9 year old daughter, as well as myself, love the kettlecorn and cotton candy and are totally fascinated by the Amish community that seem so at home at the festival. My 3 year old cannot get enough pancakes and syrup. He is an extremely picky eater but ate 2 whole pancakes with syrup himself this past weekend! That is the reason I am writing.I don't know if the recipe is special or just from a mix but I was wondering if you would be willing to share it so I can make them for him. Thank you for caring for your sugarbush the way you do and sharing such a sustainable and local product with us.We certainly could use more families like yours on our earth!SR via email

Salutations! Thank you very much for the lovely time we had attending this year’s festival! We always make it on the first day and weekend. This year we brought two of our grandchildren and they had a wonderful time. We walked away with a gallon and a half of Grade A Dark Amber, the CD "Sugarbush Silver & Gold", full bellies, a maple sugar high, and smiles on our faces! MS via email

My daughter and I realized that 2010 was the 7th year that we have been to the maple sugar fest. The 2nd year her daughter was 8 weeks old and in a sling in her coat. She was never cold.
We love it EVERY YEAR all 7 of us.

My son Adam and I made our first ever visit to your farm today. We spent several hours there, and loved everything about it! The food was awesome, the vendors were great, the tour was interesting, and everyone was very helpful. You should be very proud of your accomplishments at Sugar Bush Farm. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your life. The Maple Cotton Candy was THE BOMB.

2009 FESTIVAL TESTIMONIALSThis year will be our 9th straight to visit the festival. We love coming to your farm and participating in the whole festival experience. Thanks to your instructions, taps & tubing, we have tapped our own huge maple tree for the past 7 – 8 years. The sugaring/festival experience has become a rite of spring/end of winter tradition for us.We are pretty passionate about it.We continue to boil sap in our kitchen as there is no where else to do it.We just let the windows steam & the ceiling drip.☺My 2 boys could spend 24 hrs. a day playing in your creek! They all love the horses. My oldest is good with an ax & a drill. He has a keen interest in the syrup-making process. All of us love the music & enjoy listening to Michael & others perform at the festival. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking in the woods & a warm fire.
I’ve been wanting to do this (stay at the cottage and participate in the syrup making) for a while now & am glad I’m finally doing it!I love to get away from the city & have a hankering for a bit of land & some animals some day. Thanks for the opportunity.

Thanks for your kind hospitality and kid-focused Festival. Sorry about all the "beaver dams" they built Saturday. I looked over and my 8 yo son was knee deep doing engineering work. Probably took you half a day to move the rocks out of the creek.
