TOM CUNNINGHAM - "Fiddle Tales"

Tom Cunningham
is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, performer and teacher, and creator of FiddleTales.  In Louisville, Tom has played with several top acoustic bands, including Flat Possum; The Hot Club of Derbytown; Blue Murphy and the Doghouse Serenaders; and The Next Exit.  In creating FiddleTales, Tom has drawn from his myriad, diverse experiences in performing music and theatre, and his teaching, to bring a folksy look at the fiddle: history, sounds, stories, and fun.

He and his wife make their home in Louisville, KY.

The Corydon Dulcimer Society is a group of over 50 musicians whose performances showcase a wide variety of traditional acoustic instruments including the appalachian mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, autoharp, guitar, mandolin, folk harp, fiddle, double bass, banjo, banjomer, dulcibro, spoons, pennywhistle, recorder, harmonica, jew's harp, psaltery and more!

They are dedicated to preserving, promoting, researching, and educating the public about our American traditional music heritage.

CORYDON DULCIMER SOCIETY
Cameron and Molly
Molly and Cameron began singing together in junior high.
It was the start of a life together that took them from an urban
upbringing back to rural traditions of simplicity and self-sufficiency.
Those ideals are reflected in the songs they sing.
With a sound similar to Allison Krauss and Union Station, the Howards sing
about their lives on the small farm they work near Corydon, Indiana.
Their new CD, Farm Fresh, is a collection of their own songs about farm life,
and covers of some others they love to sing.

Nicole Bridgewater is a 15 year old Sophmore from Paoli, Indiana.  She has been performing in public since a very young age and has sang at many festivals, fundraisers and other functions.  Nicole is a memeber of the Paoli Harmony Singers and is a student at Tim Key Studios.  Her wide variety of acoustic mix and beautiful voice has been enjoyed by many.

She is excited about performing in her 2nd year at the Maple Syrup Festival.
Be sure to see her performances, we know you will enjoy them!!!

ROSE ISLAND STRING BAND

The Rose Island String Band plays old time country and gospel music.  Their repertoire includes songs from the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Charlie Poole, Bascom Lunsford, Clarence Ashley and others. The band consists of Walter Lay on vocals and guitar, with Dan Boone on mandolin and vocals.

Dan grew up in the hills of Hardin County and has been playing music since he was a young boy.  Walter comes from Danville, Kentucky, growing up in a community rich in traditional music.  Walter is also a maker of handcrafted guitars and performs with guitars that he has built himself.  Dan and Walter now make their homes in Louisville.

The Evening Light Gospel Singers,
from Beford, IN,
 entertain the crowds with
gospel and rollicking bluegrass tunes.

EVENING LIGHT GOSPEL SINGERS
JAMES WHITE AND DEER CREEK

This local group will feature eight year old Kyle Ramey,
a 2 time National Champion on the mandolin.
He has been called a child prodigy -
don't miss it!!!!
